The Tough case has two layers: a polycarbonate (PC) hard-shell exterior and a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) shock-absorbing interior. The PC shell helps resist scratches and daily wear, while the flexible TPU layer helps absorb shocks and cushion
Is the Tough case one piece or two?
It’s a two-piece design: a shock-absorbing TPU inner layer and a durable PC outer shell. The two layers are designed to work together, so we recommend keeping them together during normal use. Just a quick note, both parts are designed to be removable
Is the outer shell of the Tough case the same as a Snap case?
Not quite! The top part of a Tough case doesn’t go directly on your phone. It goes over the TPU inner layer first, so it’s slightly wider. The Snap case goes directly on your phone, so it’s smaller. The two are separate designs and aren’t interchange
How thick and heavy is the Tough case?
The Tough case is approximately 2.5 mm thick. Its weight varies by model; for example, it ranges from 36 g to 51 g across the iPhone 13 Mini to the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Can I use a camera lens protector with the Tough case?

Does the Tough case have a good grip?
Yes! The TPU layer has a lightly textured surface that helps improve grip and makes your phone more comfortable to hold.
Is the Tough case MagSafe compatible?
The regular Tough Case isn’t MagSafe compatible, as the magnetic connection isn’t strong enough for reliable use. We also offer a dedicated MagSafe-compatible case option, so make sure to select it when ordering if you need MagSafe.
Will a MagSafe PopSocket work with the Tough case?
MagSafe PopSockets work with our MagSafe-compatible cases. With a non-MagSafe case, you’ll need a separate compatible magnetic adapter.
Can I charge my Samsung Galaxy wirelessly with the Tough case on?
Yes! Simply choose the Magnetic version of our Tough case, which is compatible with magnetic wireless chargers and magnetic ring holders. The standard Tough case doesn’t support magnetic charging or magnetic accessories, so you’ll need to remove it t
